Factory guide / Expansion

Expand the stage
that holds you back.

Keep what works. Find what is waiting, starving or backing up before adding another machine.

What is stopping the line?

Choose what you can see

A stopped press can mean missing ingredients, a blocked exit or lost power. Start with the symptom you can actually observe.

Check the sand path before adding a press.

Follow sand from the chamber to the press. A route fault and a chamber capacity limit need different fixes.

Example: the chamber itself is limiting sandConditional routing example
Before Observed problem
Existing chamber
↓ sand supply falls short
Existing press waits for sand

Use this case only after checking the route and confirming the chamber is supplied and powered.

After Targeted change
Add chamber capacity
↓ connect the sand output
Keep the existing press

Recheck shared dust supply and power. Extra chamber capacity helps only while sand is the limiting stage.

Existing equipment / routeAdded or changed part

Schematic examples, not measured layouts. The right change depends on the fault you confirm.

Make one change. Then observe.

Keep the working parts of your factory. Changing several stages at once makes the result harder to explain.

01 · Confirm the faultWatch input levels, queues and power through several cycles.
02 · Change the limiting partRepair the route, rebalance supply or add capacity where the evidence points.
03 · Watch the next constraintA successful change can move the bottleneck to another stage.

If material already reaches the next machine reliably, increasing upstream capacity may simply create a larger queue.

Did the expansion improve delivery?

  • Compare matching observation windows.
  • Keep collection conditions similar.
  • Note starting and ending stockpiles.
  • Check stone delivered to the base.
