FIELD GUIDE / PROCESSING

Turn dust into a useful sand supply

Connect the chamber as one branch of the factory. The Stone Press still needs a separate supply of raw dust.

QUICK ANSWER

Feed dust into the Pressure Chamber, provide power and connect its sand output to the next stage. If it stops, check incoming material, power and output space in that order. Keep some dust outside the chamber route for the Stone Press.

Build the sand branch, keep the dust branch

  1. Identify the chamber’s input and output. Use the machine’s port indicators rather than judging direction from its shape alone.
  2. Connect a dust source to its input. Watch material reach the machine; a connected-looking belt is not enough if its capsules stop before the port.
  3. Check the power status. Establish working power before diagnosing a processing-rate problem.
  4. Connect the sand output onward. Leave space on that route so completed material can leave.
  5. Supply the Stone Press separately with raw dust. Its other ingredient comes from the chamber as sand. One stocked input does not complete its recipe.

Read the recipe before choosing a ratio

MachineDisplayed recipe or batchRated power
Pressure ChamberUp to 5 kg of dust per 12 seconds10 kW
Stone Press1 kg dust + 1 kg sand → 2 kg stone per 6 seconds18 kW

These values are visible in a gameplay menu; the game build is not shown. Compare them with your installed game before sizing a large line.

The chamber’s displayed maximum converts to 25 kg of dust processed per minute. If dust becomes an equal mass of sand, that would supply 25 kg of sand per minute. Equal-mass yield is an assumption here, not a measured result.

Under that assumption, continuous full power and uninterrupted feeding, two chambers could supply the sand for five presses. That is a local material balance, not a guarantee that a 2:5 factory will run continuously. Raw-dust delivery, belt capacity and distribution can all limit the line first.

Diagnose the first persistent stall

  • No dust reaches the chamber: follow the input belt back to the first gap or stopped capsule. Confirm the source is releasing material.
  • Dust arrives but processing stops: inspect the machine’s power status and input state. Do not infer full power from daylight alone.
  • Sand cannot leave: clear the downstream blockage and confirm the next machine accepts material at that port.
  • Sand leaves, but a press waits: inspect both press inputs. The missing ingredient may be raw dust, not sand.
  • Several machines fail to pack capsules: update before rebuilding the factory. Patch 1.0.5 fixed a packing failure on large bases.

Expand after the line settles

Run a small module until its stored material stops hiding shortages. Watch whether dust or sand keeps accumulating or running out. Add a chamber when sand production is the sustained limit; fix supply or the outgoing belt when that is where the blockage begins.

Patch 1.0.5 makes rearranging cheaper with free moves and full removal refunds. After a move, recheck port connections and repeat the same observation before buying more machines.

Guide assumptions

Check your current machine menus and observe a complete delivery route. Read the model assumptions before using a factory estimate.
